	<title>Internet Predator</title>
	<description>
It's hard to imagine that only about 10 years ago there was no such thing as the Internet. But now, few of us could imagine our lives without the Internet. We depend on the Internet to many of our everyday tasks, from shopping to paying bills. You can even go online these days and find a bride or a date for this Saturday night! There seems to be no end to what you can do and get online. Only one catch, it has also become the perfect place for many criminals and that is why we each have to protect ourselves from any potential Internet predator.

Keeping an eye out for an Internet predator
It can be very exciting meeting new people online and many people are going online specifically to meet friends and potential dates. There are also thousands of chat rooms that people of all ages frequent. What we can never lose sight of is the fact that this is the ideal environment for an Internet predator. An Internet predator is someone who uses the anonymity of the Internet to get whatever it is that they are after. One of the most frequent crimes that Internet predators commit is pedophilia.

An Internet predator can easily go to any sites where young girls and boys frequent and disguise himself as a child. As the child starts to chat with the Internet predator a trust can develop and from there almost anything can happen. Special attention needs to be paid to Internet safety - especially if there are children in the house. There is a lot of software available these days for just this purpose, so that your children cannot go to just any site and cannot be exposed to just anything. Some of the software also allows you to see where they have been in cyberspace.

Now know your Internet predator signals and Internet predator signs to look for and keep safe!
