Tell them to never give out such personal information as their telephone number, address, full name, or school name, unless you tell them that it is ok.
They should also never send out a picture of themselves or any of the family.
They should never meet with anyone that they met online without a parent with them.
As parents, we should consider using one of the many filtering and monitoring software that is available.
Tell children not to give out their account passwords to their friends or other students when they are at school.

It might seem hard to believe that a few simple Internet safety tips can help to a save a life or keep your child out of a very bad situation, but they can and they do! A simple Internet safety tip or two can really help us to spot an Internet predator when we come across one.
