	<title>Internet Safety</title>
	<description>
When it comes to Internet safety, children don't really have a concept or idea of what you're talking about. The Internet to them is this fun wonderland where they can look up stuff and meet people. You always want to keep an eye on what sites your child visits. There are many dangers out there that can put your child -- and even yourself -- at risk. Children have somewhat of a concept of physical strangers in person, but when it comes to online strangers, it is still a new concept to them. The person on the other end they are talking to just seems like a buddy. They don't know what dangers they could be in if they were to give out the wrong information. That's why as a parent, it's up to you to teach your child about Internet safety and Internet privacy. Not everyone they talk to is friendly, and they shouldn't give out certain details about who they are or where they live. Here are some Internet safety tips for you and your child.

Internet Safety Tips
Children may give out their address to a "friend" online, thinking the person is their same age, when in reality it can be a sexual predator looking for someone to take advantage of. Try to explain this to your child without it sounding too scary.

Also explain to your children that talking online to people is not such a good idea. In fact, if you can, block those web sites from your children so they don't have access. The more restricted they are, the less you have to worry about. Part of Internet safety is knowing how to keep your child safe when you're not around.

Practice proper online safety and Internet safety, especially when it comes to your children. Don't let them be taken advantage of, which is made much easier by the online environment. The fact is that just one good Internet safety tip can go a long way to keep your child safe. pay attention to the valuable Internet safety tips and make sure that the smaller ones are also aware of them.

Many Internet predators share similar characteristics and will go about manipulating children as well as adults in many of the same ways - so taking a few tips and keeping them in mind will help you to see an Internet predator for who he is before it is too late!
